Mr. Billy Don “Pop” Gilley, age 69, of Menlo, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Floyd Medical Center.
 
Mr. Gilley was born in Menlo, Georgia on November 14, 1943, son of the late O.E. “Zeke” Gilley and Jessie Ethel Willingham Gilley.  He was a member of the Chelsea Baptist Church, the AMI Cemetery Committee and prior to retirement was employed with T.I.C. Electrical Contractors. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilley was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Gilley Hogg.
 
Mr. Gilley is survived by his wife, Sue Bailey Gilley; sons, Tony Gilley and Randy Gilley; brother, G.H. “Bud” Gilley; sister, Dot Cavin; 2 grandchildren, Brandi Gilley and Granville Gilley; and three Great grandchildren, Alyson Christol, Coby Gilley and Kendyl Gilley.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Gilley will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Wilborn officiating. Interment will follow in the AMI Cemetery.
 
Pallbearers will be Mike Gilley, Tim Hogg, Marc Hogg, Jamie Cavin, Rick Smith and Gene Carter.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Willard Brown, Wayne Pritchett, Buddy McCrickard, Mike Woodard, Faye Maxey, Jehrome Myrick, Paul Hosmer, Stacy Mitchell, Dewayne Crabtree, Mickey Rose, Ricky Sumner, Brian Payne, Tommy McRae, Terry Payne and Jason Copeland.
 
Mr. Gilley will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
 
The family will accept flowers, however, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the AMI Cemetery Fund, PO Box 25, Menlo, GA  30731.
