Mr. Roy Lavaughn Dover, Obit. (M)

Mr. Roy Lavaughn Dover, age 77, of Summerville, GA died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Dover was born February 23, 1936 in Summerville, GA, the son of the

late Albert Wesley Dover and Vinnie Lucille Green Dover. He was a farmer.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David Dover

and Marvin Dover; and a sister, Shirley Nelson.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Edgeworth; a son, Richard Dover;

Sisters, Brenda Wilson, Peggy Boss; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and

Nell Dover; 3 Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at

Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Biddle and Rev. Ray

Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Littlejohn Cemetery. Active

pallbearers will be Pete Denson, Eric Edgeworth, Robbie Dover, DeJuan

Jarrett, Scotty Lewis, and Randy Dover. Honorary pallbearers will be

the Staff and Residents of Oakview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Dover will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will

receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Monday.
