Mrs. Lula Mae Martin, age 91 of Summerville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Martin was born in Chattooga County on June 4, 1921, daughter of the late Terry Morrison Mahaffey and Julie Davis Mahaffey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Summerville and was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Wesley Martin, sister, Martha Galt; brothers, Sam Mahaffey, Clyde Mahaffey, Tom Mahaffey and Jim Mahaffey.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her son, John Wesley Martin, Sr.; daughter, Martha Ann McCollum; sister, Annie Lee Cook; two grandchildren, John Wesley Martin, Jr., and Everett Lee Martin.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Martin will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Bishop and Rev. Paul Mason officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg McCollum, Freddy Early, Mike Turner, Greg Thomas, Jody Campbell, and Justin Canada. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Dorcus Sunday School Class of the Summerville First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Martin will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
