Mrs. Kathryn Brock, age 87, of Trion, GA, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Floyd Medical Center.

 

Mrs. Brock was born December 5, 1926, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Joseph LaFayette and Nellie Lee Stephens Payne.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Mount Vernon Mills, Mitchell’s Restaurant, and Burger King.  She was also a member of the Riegel Textiles Quarter Century Club.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Cecil Brock; 10 brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Tina Brock Tucker.

 

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sammye Brock of Trion, GA, Randy Brock, of Trion, GA; a brother, Gordan Lee Payne of Eclectic, AL; a grandson, Josh Brock of Trion, GA; and great-granchildren, Skylar Tucker and Bowden Brock of Trion, GA.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Brock will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 27, 2013, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating.  Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active Pallbearers will be Josh Brock, Jeremy Reece, Roy Williams, Reggie Page, Josh Strauss, and Daniel Caylor.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Nieces and Nephews and the members of the Quarter Century Club.

 

Mrs. Brock will be in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday.
