Mrs. Jewell Rogers Ellenburg, age 96, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday February 8, 2014, at the residence of her son.
Mrs. Ellenburg was born March 31, 1917, in Piedmont Alabama, the daughter of the late Colquitt and Hannah Parker Rogers.  She was also preceded death by her husband, James Harold Ellenburg, SR, and a son John Kenneth Ellenburg.
Survivors include her son, James Harold Ellenburg, Jr, sister, Bessie Couy, grandchildren, Debra Chance, Lisa Ellenburg Matthews, Beth Ellenburg Bright, 9 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m.  Monday February 10, 2014 from the  Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Russell officiating with interment in the Greenhills Memory Garden.  Active pallbearers, John Chance, Peter Bright, Tony Jones, Matt Matthews, Lonnie Rogers, Lee Fowler.
Mrs. Ellenburg will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Monday February 10, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
