Mr. Jonathan David Scroggins, age 34, of Lyerly, GA died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Scroggins was born January 16, 1980 in Fort Hood, TX, the son of Roger Scroggins and Brenda Rich Peek. He was employed with Hayes Correctional Institute. He was preceded in death by a brother, Freddy Dale Scroggins.

Mr. Scroggins is survived by his father, Roger Dale Scroggins; mother, Brenda Gail Peek; fiancée, Ginger White; children, Kylan White and Lily White; brothers, Marcus Lee and Lucas Lee; and a sister, Brandice Scherer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Hutchins and Rev. Kevin Woods officiating.  Interment will follow in Summerville Cemetery.  Active pallbeares will be Donovan Lee, Kenny White, Troy Martin, Dacion Lowe, Mark Miller, and Matt Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kodi Neal and Co-workers from Hayes Correctional Institute.\

Mr. Scroggins will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Thursday, March 27, 2014.
