Mrs. Sadie Mae Cornelison, age 77, of Gaylesville, AL, passed away Tuesday April 15, 2014, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

 

Mrs. Cornelison was born Feb. 12, 1937, in Summerville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Deberry Edwards. She was a homemaker and member of New Prospect #1 Baptist Church.   Other

than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband,

Lowell T. “Jack” Bryan; son, Randy Bryan; and brothers, Albert

Edwards, and Pless Edwards.

 

Mrs. Cornelison is survived by her husband, Clarence Cornelison, Gaylesville, AL; daughter, and son-in-law, Kathy and Michael Simpson, Trion,

GA; stepdaughter, Denise Lynn Floyd, Piedmont, AL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Carmen Edwards, Bobby and Jean Edwards, and Joe and Wanda Edwards; sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Bill Black; sister-in-

law, Linda Stancil; grandchildren, Josh and Jan Bryan, Lance Simpson

and Becky McDaniel; Eric Simpson; Hope Mitchell and Heather Mitchell.

 

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p. m. EST on Thursday, April 17, 2014

at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sanford Deberry and Rev.

Dewayne Teague officiating.  Burial will be held at 10:00 a. m. EST on

Friday, April 18, 2014 at Johnson Cemetery. Active pallbearers are

Josh Bryan, Lance Simpson, Tony Owens, Joshua Keith, Terry Teems,

Danny Edwards, and Terry Mitchell.  Honorary pallbearers will be all

members of Sardis Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Class.

 

Mrs. Cornelison will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family

will receive friends  from 5:00 until 7:00 p. m. on Thursday.
