Mr. Raymond N. Williams, age 79, of Summerville, GA, departed this Earth on September 2, 2014, at Floyd Medical Center.

 

Mr. Williams was born June 10, 1938, in Menlo, GA, son of the late Russell Mack and Daisy Williams.  He attended the A. C. Carter School in Summerville, and he was a member of the Greater Grace Temple Church in Summerville.  When Raymond was physically able to work, he loved to do construction work.  In addition to his loving mother and father, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill Williams, Emanuel Williams, Albert Williams, and Jimmy Williams; one sister, Lula Davis; and a brother-in-law, Steve Thurman, all of Summerville, GA.

 

He will be remembered and missed by his loving family, sons, Don Harris, Steve Harris, and Ronny Harris; brothers, Lee Williams and David Williams; sisters, Helen Williams, Bertha (Billy) Johnson, Mary Thurman, Dorothy Johnson, Daisy Fife, and Patricia Williams; sister-in-law, Robin Williams; and brother-in-law, George A. Johnson.  A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2014, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Jackie Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow in the AMI Cemetery.

 

Mr. Williams will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Saturday.  At other hours, the family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Mary Thurman.
