Mrs. Patsy Jane Parris, age 68, of the Pennville Community, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Parris was born in Trion, Georgia on October 3, 1947, daughter of the late Labern Bowling and Ola Overton Bowling.  She was a member of the Teloga Baptist Church, and loved to read, work Crossword Puzzles and shop.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Parris was employed as a Home Health Aide.  Mrs. Parris was preceded in death by a great grandson, Parker Blake Joseph.

Mrs. Parris is survived by her husband, Leon Parris; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Linda Wofford, Kelly Wofford, Jason and Lesley Mitchell, Tim and Cara Parris, Robert and Jane Parris, and Keith Parris; daughter, Teresa White; brothers, J.L. Bowling, Marlon (Mary) Bowling, Labern “Punky” Bowling and Roy Bowling; sisters, Ramona (Malcolm) Pickle, Deborah Nelson and Special Sister, Kaye Clark; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Parris will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Cowart and Rev. Dean Tapp officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Ellenburg, Scott Parris, Sevron Mitchell, Lee Wofford, Nick Parris, Mitch Parris and Grand Kersey.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Parris, Zack Wallace, Ethan Wofford, Preston Parris and Austin Parris.

Mrs. Parris will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M.
