Mrs. Mildred Irene Taylor Obit (M)

Mrs. Mildred Irene Taylor, age 86, of Trion, GA died Wednesday, January

20, 2016 at Oakview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Taylor was born March 4, 1929 in Chatsworth, GA, the daughter of the

late John and Julie Hughes Gossett. She was a homemaker and a member of

Trion Heights Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in

death by her husband, W. P. “Doc” Taylor; and a daughter, Martha Sue Butler.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Davey Sweet,

and Tammy and Kenny Ledford; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Debra

Taylor: 7 Grandchildren; and 17 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p. m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at Mason

Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in

West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Billy Taylor, JR, Ryan Ledford,

Lake England, Johnathon Taylor, Nathaniel Smith, and Bryan Foley. Honorary

pallbearers will be Dr. Bruce Lee, Betty Nalley, and the Staff at Oakview Nursing

and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Taylor will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive

friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p. m. Friday, January 22, 2016.
