Mrs. Betty Jo Hall, age 69, of Trion, GA, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 18, 2016, at her residence.

 

Mrs. Hall was born July 11, 1946, in Fort Payne, AL, daughter of the late Joe Hales and Irene Roberts Hales.  She was a member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Roper.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Roxie Hales; step-brothers, Joel Lee Matthews and Bobby Matthews.

 

Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, Eugene "Gene" Hall; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Patty Hall, Michael and Bonita Hall; daughters and son-in-law, Jeanie Rebecca and Stacey Whited, Terra Lynn Ammons; and 8 grandchildren. In addition to her own children, Betty and Gene foster parented over two hundred children in the area from 1982 until present. They were honored as Foster Parents of the Year on more than one occasion.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hall will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 20, 2016 from  the Central Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Owen "Bud" Davis and Rev. Brandon Bishop officiating.  Interment will follow in the Howell Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Robert Hall, Michael Hall, Ethan Hall, Greg Hall, Jeff Blansit, and Virgil McCoy.

 

Mrs. Hall will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday  March 19, 2016.  Mrs. Hall will  also lie in state at the church Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
