Mr. Hugh Don Tallent, age 70, of Gaylesville, AL, (Rinehart Community) died Monday, June 27, 2016 at his residence.
 
Mr. Tallent was born May 25, 1946 in Fort Payne, AL, the son of Maggie Ray Tallent and the late Cecil Tallent.  He was retired from Mohawk Industries.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam.
 
Mr. Tallent is survived by his mother, Maggie Tallent; daughter, Michelle Tallent McCool; son, Donnie Webb; sister, Carol Tallent; brothers, Larry Tallent and Charles “Fuzz” Tallent.
 
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. (EST) Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Berlin Murphy officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Jamie McCullough, Leslie McCullough, Steve Marshall, Jeremy Tallent, Chad Tallent, and Brandon Tallent.  Honorary pallbearers will be all friends; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Brown, Dwight and Barbara McCullough; and special caregiver, Betty Morris.
 
Mr. Tallent will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. (EST) until the hour of service on Tuesday.
