Mary Jo Guffey, age 83, of Menlo, GA, passed away Saturday September 10, 2016, at her residence.  Mrs. Guffey was born September 28, 1933, in Jamestown, AL, the daughter of the late James Luther and Julia Ann Deering Tucker.  Mrs. Guffey was a member of the Chesterfield Baptist Church,  retired from Best Mfg, and preceded in death by her husband, Barnard David Guffey, son, Barnard Dan Guffey.
 
Survivors include her children, James Willie Guffey, Shawn Guffey, Janice & Phillip Ayers, brothers, Tom Tucker, Jack & Martha Tucker, sisters, Annie Mae Jennirs, Glenda & Medford Gass, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
 
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 13, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating with interment in the AMI Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Guffey will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Monday September 12, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m.
