MRS. LYNDA EDWARDS, age 72, of Dry Valley Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, October 14, 2016, in the local nursing home.  She was born on October 7, 1944 in Ringgold, Georgia; a daughter of the late Fred and Myrtle Smith Hames.  Mrs. Edwards was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church and formerly worker for Menlo School.  She was preceded by her Parents, sisters, the late Jean Ponder and Elizabeth Gill, and brothers, the late Bob Hames, Fred “Cooter” Hames, and Herman Hames.

        Surviving are husband, Johnny Edwards; son, Jeff Edwards; sisters, Virginia Dunn and Syble Langston; brother, James Hames; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

        Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 16th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery.  Pallbearers Chance Gilliland, Tony White, Billy Gilliland, Matt Edwards, Samuel Finster, and Cale Pledger.  The Family will receive friends Saturday, from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.  The Family respectfully request no food.
