Mr. William J.D. Fowler, age 72, of Trion, GA, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Fowler was born July 30, 1944, in Summerville, GA, son of the late J.D. and Roxie Jane Hunter Fowler.  He attended the Summerville Church of God, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Fowler; a grandson, Kenny Dawson; and a great-granddaughter, Letty Stoner.
Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fowler; a son, Lamar Fowler; daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Richard Dover, Cynthia Fowler, Dawn and Chuck Harris, Melissa Christol, Shelia Jones, and Dasaray Fowler; brother, Donnie Fowler; sister-in-law, Penny Fowler; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
Graveside and interment services for Mr. Fowler will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from the LaFayette Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be Bo Dunn, Bobby Jones, Dustin Harris, Michael Thompson, Erick Wilson, Tim Wester, and J. T. Wester.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Floyd, Tommy Hill, Katie Bryan, and his friends at Trade Day.
Mr. Fowler will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2016.
