Mr. James Curtis Stoker, age 88, of Menlo, GA, passed away Friday April 28, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Stoker was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Cloudland, GA, the son of the late George and Annie Moses Stoker. He was retired from Riegal Textile, a veteran of the Korean War, where he received the purple heart, and many other medals, was a member of the Riegal Quarter Century Club, and other than his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Claude Stoker, and Infant Baby Stoker who died at birth.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Monnie J. Stoker, daughters and son-in-law, Joyce White, Vicki and Randy Bagley, sister, Thelma Lowery, grandchildren, Suzanne Willis, Michael & Betty White, Clifton & Maghan Bagley, great-grandchildren, Joshua White, Layla Sims, Peyton Bagley, Tony Floyd, Jordan Floyd.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday April 30, 2017, from the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Patterson and Rev. Tom Russell officiating with interment in the West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Randy Stoker, Sammy Lee, Michael White, Clifton Bagley, Leonard Robinson, Jerry (Homebrew) Deering, David Adams, Roy Brown, JR. Honorary pallbearers, Don Wofford, Joshua White, Edward Lee, James Lee.
Mr. Stoker will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
