Mrs. Opal Christine Helton Vaughn, age 85, of Summerville, GA, passed away Thursday July 20, 2017, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mrs. Vaughn was born February 2, 1932, in Berryton, GA, the daughter of Charlie and Mary Smith Helton. She was a home maker and preceded in death by her husband, James E. Vaughn.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth & Lynn Vaughn, Michael (Moto) Vaughn, grandchildren, Olin & Rhonda Woody, Stacy Nixon, Kelvin & Stacy Vaughn, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Mason Funeral Home.
