Lyerly United Methodist will be celebrating the 100th birthday of one of its members.

Lyerly United Methodist had this to say:

“Lyerly United Methodist is delighted to celebrate the 100th birthday of one of our church members, Mrs. Rose Jackson.

Our church, along with family and friends, will help celebrate this great occasion with a covered-dish dinner on Oct. 8th after our 11:00 service at noon in our fellowship hall. All are invited to come worship with Ms. Rose and our church family before the dinner. 

Ms. Rose has been a great to our country by being a nurse in the Army during World War II serving in the European theater, owner of Jackson’s Hardware in Lyerly for many years, and a member of our church family, and the United Methodist Women’s group.

We are thankful for all that she has done for our country, our community, and our church. Out of all the places that God could have sent Ms. Rose, we thank Him that He sent Ms. Rose to live in Lyerly, GA. 

The community, family, and friends are all invited to attend and take part in this birthday celebration and our covered-dish dinner. No gifts; cards will appreciated. Your presence is her presents.
