Continuing the tradition begun in Chattooga County over 100 years ago, vocalists and musicians from local churches will gather on the fifth Sunday evening of this month for a time of congregational singing as well as solo and choral group performances. This month’s musical event will be hosted by Summerville First Baptist Church on October 29th beginning at 6 PM, with singing continuing until 7:30.

All Chattooga County church choirs, quartets, soloists, instrumentalists or other groups who wish to perform either traditional or contemporary Christian music should contact Minister of Music, Don Groce at 706-844-7091 or the church office at 706-857-1215 to be listed in the program.  For these groups plus all in attendance, congregational singing as well as contemporary praise will be offered throughout the evening.

The event will be held in the church‘s main sanctuary located at 125 Georgia Avenue in historic downtown Summerville, Georgia. Handicap accessible entrance to the sanctuary is located on Georgia Avenue as well as beside the church office on Union Street. The church is located just across from Summerville City Hall.

Immediately following the singing, a time of fellowship will be held in the Family Life Center. Participants are invited to bring a favorite “finger food” to share.  Desserts, hot coffee and hot apple cider will be provided by the hosting church.
