Mr. Aaron Timothy “Tim” Dotson, age 65, of Summerville, GA passed away Wednesday- January 24, 2018 surrounded by his family at his residence.

Mr. Dotson was born May 21, 1952 in Trion, GA to Coolidge “Coot” Dotson and Jeanette Floyd Dotson Broome. He was retired from Mohawk and his passion for the guitar earned him the nick name “Guitar Man”.  He was a member of New Beginnings Church.

He is preceded in death by his father; Coolidge “Coot” Dotson, and step-daughter; Mary Elizabeth Chapman.

Mr. Dotson is survived by his loving wife; Alice Elaine Dotson, sons; Darian (Anna) Dotson and James “Jimmy” (Debbie) Tapp, grandchildren; Jared Tapp, Ray Dotson, Mack Dotson, and Ava Dotson, mother; Jeanette Broome, brother; Don Dotson, sister; Kathy (Rev. Steve) Burns, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Mr. Dotson will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday- January 25, 2018 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 until the hour of the service.
