A Summerville church is offering “Drive-In” communion on Good Friday.  According to the church, the service will meet the guidelines set forth by Governor Kemp during the shelter in place order that was issued earlier this week.

Calvary Baptist Church, Summerville, will host a “drive-in” Good Friday Communion Service at 6 PM on Friday April 10th.

The elements of Communion are individually packaged and will be placed on an outdoor table to pick up.   We ask that everyone remain in their cars and 1 person from each family pick up the Communion supplies.  Everyone is welcome to join in the Communion service and time of worship, or you may pick up the provided elements for your own use at home. The Georgia Baptist Convention has confirmed with the governor’s office that drive-in churches are permitted under the new order, and it has also been confirmed by a call to the governor’s office.
