There was a two-vehicle accident on Saturday evening on Highway 114 at Dover’s Cut.  The Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome released the following information on Sunday evening about the accident:

On Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 7:48 pm, Troopers from Post 38 Rome responded to a two-vehicle crash on GA 114 at Dover’s Cut Road, in Chattooga County.  A 1992 GMC Sierra and a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado were both traveling south on GA 114.  The GMC attempted to make a right turn onto Dover’s Cut Road and the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado applied the brakes but left the west edge of the roadway and began to rotate as it entered a ditch.  The GMC completed the turn and was struck on the passenger side by the Chevrolet Silverado as it struck a culvert.  The crash report is not yet available.
