The Georgia State Patrol said on Wednesday that a complete report on the accident in Lyerly that happened on Monday between a county garbage truck and a utility pole is still not complete.  According to the Georgia State Patrol Public Information Office: On Monday, November 27, 2023, A Chattooga County Public Works Garbage truck struck a utility pole breaking the pole in half.  The trash truck suffered minor damage.  The pole belonged to Windstream Communications.  No injuries were reported.
