Highway 48 was closed down completely for a period of time Saturday afternoon in the wake of a three-vehicle accident.

The wreck took place just before 5:00pm resulting in Chattooga County Deputies and area fire-fighters shutting down traffic going up or down the mountain to Cloudland.

Little information has been released, but injuries were reported to have occurred.
