According to the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome deer caused an accident for a Trion woman on Tuesday evening of this week.

The report from the Georgia State Patrol said that forty-two year old Janice Teresa Ray was traveling on Highway 27 when a deer ran into the path of her 2000 Nissan Maxima.  Ms. Ray struck the deer, killing it.  There were no serious injuries.

Another accident on Sunday evening involved a 2000 Dodge Neon driven by twenty-one year old Chris Hernandez of Summerville and a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by twenty year old Savannah Hines of Rome.  The accident happened on Highway 27 at the the Sav-A-Lot Shopping Center in Summerville.  According to the report Hines was attempting to pull out of the shopping center parking lot when she pulled into the path of Hernandez. 

Hines was cited for failure to yield and Hernandez was cited for a new resident failing to change a drivers license.
