The Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome reported two accidents with injuries last week.  The first accident occurred last Wednesday when Lisa Wilson of Summerville was attempting to make a left hand turn off Underwood Drive in the Trion area onto Highway 27.  Wilson’s 1991 Mercury was struck by a 2000 Kia driven by Paul Wilson of Cohutta.  No one was transported to the hospital in the accident.

 

The second accident occurred last Thursday, also on Highway 27 near Harrell Street and Bullman Alley Road.  According to reports Jacqueline Dennis of Summerville was traveling north on Highway 27 when a 2000 Oldsmobile driven by Dexter Reed of Trion attempted to make a left hand turn and travelled into the path of  Dennis’s 1998 BMW.  Reed was charged with failure to yield the right of way and for driving on expired tags.
