Accused fourth grade teacher, David Daniel – age 48 of Lyerly – was released from the Chattooga County Jail yesterday on a $75,000 bond.
Daniel is accused of attempted child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes after a sting-operation conducted by the Trion Police Department. Daniel was arrested on Monday night at 10 PM at the Trion City Park after he showed up thinking he would be meeting with a 15 year old boy.
Reports yesterday indicated that Daniel has been forbidden on the property of any Chattooga County School until an internal investigation can be completed. Daniel has taught in the Chattooga County School system for 14 years.
