Ag Georgia Farm Credit is offering $10,000 grants for farmers markets in the 79-county association territory, including Chattooga County.  Two farmers markets in Chattooga County received the grants in 2023.  Applications for the grants must be completed by April 15, 2024.  See more details below:

Eligibility

To be eligible for the grant, markets must:

  • be in AgGeorgia’s 79 county territory
  • be open at least 8 days during a 2-month period
  • have a minimum of 5 vendors
  • at least 50% of the vendors must sell agricultural products

Application

Applicants need to include a detailed plan on how the funds will be used and needs to incorporate the AgGeorgia logo or mentions AgGeorgia’s name in their promotion.

The deadline to complete the online application is April 15, 2024
