Just moments prior to the beginning of her capital murder trial on Wednesday, Karri Willoughby pled guilty to killing her stepfather, Billy Junior Shaw, with a lethal injection of propofal in 2008

Prosecutors received the signed plea agreement from Willoughby`s attorneys, five minutes before the trial was to begin at 9:00am.

She was sentenced to 20 years in state prison. According to the rules and regulations of the Alabama Board of Pardons & Paroles – Willoughby will have to serve at least 85% of her sentence because she pled guilty to murder which is a Class A felony.
