A Cherokee County, Alabama man was arrested in Floyd County last week on a warrant stemming from an incident that happened on Holland Road in November of 2020.

According to reports, forty-seven-year-old Jameson Matthew Burt of Cedar Bluff reportedly picked up a sixteen-year-old male and told him he was taking him to see his mother.  Burt is accused of touching the male passenger inappropriately.  The male passenger also told law enforcement that Burt stopped on the side of Holland Road and performed a lewd act on himself. Burt also allegedly had a rifle in the vehicle at the time of the incident and the passenger told law enforcement that he feared for his safety.

Burk has been charged with false imprisonment, public indecency and second-degree cruelty to a child.
