An Alabama man was arrested in Lyerly after a traffic stop by a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputy.
According to the report from the sheriff’s office, a deputy was sitting near the intersection of Alpine Avenue and Highway 114 when he saw a pickup truck with a broken windshield pull onto the highway. The deputy said that the broken windshield was obstructing the driver’s view.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop at the Lyerly Pure Stop. The deputy recognized that the driver had a warrant for probation.
Twenty-eight-year-old Cody Wayne Aycock of Gaylesville, Alabama was arrested and charged with probation violation for possession of meth, windshield requirement violation, driving without a valid license and expired tag.
