AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio reported about a Cherokee County, Alabama man that was arrested on charges of Child Pornography.  James Darold Chadwick, 45, of Centre, Alabama, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Possession and Receipt of Child Pornography.

United States Attorney Alice H. Martin of the Northern District of Alabama and Carmen S. Adams, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation announce yesterday that Chadwick was charged in a three-count indictment filed today at U. S. District Court in Birmingham.

The indictment charges that Chadwick possessed material that contained images of child pornography, which carries a maximum sentence of ten years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both for each count, and receipt of child pornography which carries a mandatory minimum of 5 years in prison.

Special Agents of the FBI and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department worked together in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Assistant United States Attorney Laura D. Hodge is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States.
