There are no roads officially closed in Etowah County however the threat of Black Ice is still a concern EMA officials urge motorist to use extreme caution
DeKalb County

I-59- both north and southbound lanes are passable, motor patrols are presently working to remove ice and slush from the bridges and roadway and deicing procedures are being implemented as needed

All State routes are are passable, some ice and slush may be encountered, drive with extreme caution, keep travel to a minimum

US 11 from the Etowah County line to the Georgia State Line is passable, but motorists should continue to use caution when driving and keep travel to a minimum. Some icy spots may be encountered, ALDOT personnel performing De-icing procedures
