Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry says that all county offices will be closed today as will the main courthouse and the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex.

The flooding that plagued downtown Summerville on Sunday did the most damage at the courthouse annex (see related story), but none of the county offices have water, making it extremely difficult to conduct regular business.

In a statement to the media on Monday afternoon, Commissioner Elsberry said, “county offices without water will remain closed until the water is restored and the buildings are cleaned and repairs made.”
