An altercation between two men on Wallace Road just after 3 a.m. Friday reportedly led to the mother of one of those men finding dead chickens on the road five hours later. According to the report, two men had words at a Wallace Road address early that morning with one man jumping out of his vehicle and yelling profanities at the other. The man in the vehicle reportedly asked the other man if he was going to shoot him, saying "come on, I've got a gun too. Come shoot me." Five hours later the mother of the man being yelled at said she passed the man doing the yelling on  Long Hollow Road and when she turned onto Wallace road she found three dead chickens laying across the road. According to the deputy the chickens were laying in a manner that any vehicle coming down the road would have to stop or drive into oncoming traffic. The deputy moved the dead chickens off the roadway.
