The American Red Cross is reaching out to potential blood donors to help maintain the critical supply of blood donors during the pandemic. The winter months already show a decreased blood donation supply and the COVID pandemic has made it even more critical.

For the month of February, The Red Cross is giving all donors a $5 amazon gift card that will be emailed to them after donating. Red Cross is also testing blood, plasma, and platelet donations for the COVID-19 antibodies. This is not a diagnostic test, but rather to see if the donor has the antibodies. Plasma donated with the COVID-19 antibodies may be used to help COVID-19 patients.
