Apex PVC, LLC is located in Adairsville, Georgia and the owner, David Rogers, has told the City of Menlo that he will be purchasing the old glove mill to produce polymer products that are used in a variety of manufacturing applications including toys, furniture and tools.
According to records from the Georgia Secretary of State, Rogers’ company was started in July of 2020.
Rogers says that his plans are to operate the former glove mill and hopefully employ people in the Menlo area who are familiar with the former glove mill. In July of 2022, Showa-Best Gloves laid off eighty people at the plant. Some of those workers had spent most of their adult lives at the glove mill in Menlo, as had their parents and grandparents. The news of the new manufacturing plant coming to Menlo is a boost to the City of Menlo and Chattooga County as a whole.
Rogers told the Menlo City Council that he also wants to improve the looks of the manufacturing facility and “clean up” around the buildings.
