Atrium Floyd is reminding area residents that the emergency room is not the right place to get tested for COVID-19.
Atrium Floyd says that if you’re experiencing life-threatening symptoms, please call 911 or go to an Emergency Room right away.
For moderate symptoms, contact your doctor’s office or visit an Urgent Care for treatment.
But, if you need a COVID-19 test but don’t have symptoms that require immediate care, there are options other than the emergency room.
