A Summerville woman Sunday reported that a shed she owns on a Highway 114 lot was damaged. According to the report wire was stripped from the building. The shed had been used for storage and several items also were reported missing. A resident on the property said she had heard noise and when she went to check she was a red Ford Expedition parked next to the shed. She said the vehicle windows were tinted and she could not see inside. She also said that when she came outside, the Expedition sped off. The incident reportedly was turned over to investigators. There is no list of items taken, or estimated values of damage listed on the report.

A Narrows Road, Trion resident reported a burglary at his home on Monday. According to the report by the Chattooga County Sheriff's office, the man who lives at the home had gone hunting and returned around 11:30 a.m. Monday. His daughter had left the residence at 8:30 a.m. Kenny Hampton said when he returned home he noticed that the double doors were open at the bottom. He said he entered the residence and no one was there, but his gun case was open and appeared as though someone had gone through it. He said someone had also gone through an upstairs bedroom dresses. There is no indication on the report what, if anything, was stolen from the residence or if it is being investigated. 

A burglary at a Lake Wanda Reita Road residence was reported back in November but AM1180 has just received the report. According to the report from the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office, Renee Dukes said that she left her home on the morning of November 20th and returned later that evening to find her side garage door broken and the door ajar. Dukes said several things were msising and was to produce a list and estimated value to the Sheriff's Office. 

The Scenic City Chorus will have a special performance at the Walker County Civic Center Saturday, December 8. The women's chorus, part of the Sweet Adelines International, will sing at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $10 general admission with children under 12 free. An Auburn, Georgia man reported that while his unlocked vehicle was parked at a Sunnydale Road, Summerville address on Saturday. Jerry Gene Martin, of Robins Way, Auburn,  reported that someone took all of his medication but left the empty bottle. The prescription that was filled on Friday by a CVS Pharmacy in Auburn, Georgia, contained 180 pills, according to the report. The Sheriff's Department report does not list exactly what type of pills were taken.  

A Summerville woman was arrested on Friday after it was reported that a vehicle ran off the roadway damaging personal property and then took off. According to the report, deputies were dispatched to Rossville Boulevard, near Cherry Street just before midnight on Friday. Dina Hartline said she was driving on Rossville Boulevard when a blue car turned in front of her from Cherry Street. Hartline said she was able to avoid the other car, but the blue car ran into two yards on Rossville Boulevard damaging property. Pieces of a dark blue bumper were also on the ground in the yards. Shane Sparks, who initially reported the incident said he heard something and went outside to see a blue car turn onto Dickeyville Road. He said he followed the car until it stopped at the Trion track field and saw an Hispanic woman get out of the vehicle and check the damage to the blue Honda Civic. He said she then got back into the vehicle and headed back toward Rossville Boulevard. Sparks said at that point he was unable to continue following the vehicle. Damage caused by the incident, according to the report, was a mailbox crushed and lying on the ground at a Rossville Boulevard residence. At that point Deputy Rebecca Farmer drove around looking for the vehicle that caused the damage. The damaged vehicle was found in the driveway of a Cherry Street home. Evea Karina Perez, of Summerville, told Farmer that she hadn't been driving the vehicle but had been home all night drinking. Sparks was called to the scene and identified Perez as the driver. Two juveniles that reportedly had been drinking were also at the home. One of those juveniles said he had been in the vehicle with Perez when the accident occurred. Perez was charged with failure to maintain a lane, driving without a license, and failure to notify owner when striking a fixture. She was transported to the Chattooga County Jail. 

A domestic dispute that began at a neighbor's house Saturday escalated into an aggravated assault at the home of the victim and perpetrator, according to a report by the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office. The report indicates that, the couple was at a neighbor's home on Gillreath Mill Road in Menlo, when they began to argue. The husband reportedly shot a rifle into the air at this residence. When the couple went home the incident became physical. According to the woman, her husband had her on the steps, banging her head on the door, when he pulled out a knife and said he would kill her. The woman said she was able to kick her husband away from her, but he then pulled her down onto the ground and began choking her. He reportedly let her go so he could go to his car and again allegedly told her that he would kill her. The woman said she fought him for the gun he got from the car and was able to get the magazine. The man reportedly went inside and the wife, reportedly hid behind the trailer. The husband is reported to have gone outside again and shot a a rifle into the air and yelled out that he would get his shot gun. The woman reportedly was able to run down the road to a neighbor's house for help. The man reportedly went to the home where his wife was hiding and was told he could not come in. At that point, he reportedly shoved the woman who answered the door inside the house. He eventually left. A deputy went with the woman to her get belongings from the residence and the man was not found, according to the report. Warrants reportedly will be taken out for his arrest, the report stated.  

Two of Walker County's historic mansions offering candlelight Christmas tours this weekend. The Marsh House in Lafayette will have tours Friday through Sunday from 6-8 p.m. Hot cider and gingerbread will be served. The theme is Christmas 1180 – At Home With The Marsh-Warthen Family. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children. In Chickamauga, the Gordon Lee Mansion will have tours Friday and Saturday from 6-8 p.m. Admission is also $5 for adults and $1 for children

The Detroit Lions didn't look far to find a replacement for injured wide receiver Ryan Broyles. Instead of signing a free agent off the street, the Lions opted to activate Kris Durham off the practice squad.

The Lions added Durham, a former Calhoun High star, in September after the 2011 fourth-round draft pick was released by the Seattle Seahawks.

Durham appeared in just three games with Seattle as a rookie, catching three passes for 30 yards. He was placed on injured reserve in November with a torn labrum.

The 6-foot-6, 216-pound receiver played his college ball at Georgia, where he was teammates with Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. As a junior in 2008, Stafford's final season at Georgia, Durham caught 13 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown.
