Flood Relief Efforts For Chattooga County

With reports of over 14 inches of rainfall in the Summerville area on Sunday, flooding has affected hundreds of homes and businesses.  On Sunday, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp issued an emergency declaration for the county to clear the way for assistance from state agencies.  There are several flood relief efforts that are underway today:

Vehicle Break-In At Grocery Outlet

On Thursday of last week, a Chattooga County deputy responded to a call to the Grocery Outlet in Summerville.  The responding deputy met with Sabrina Goodman who said that someone had broken into a truck at the back of the store.  According to Goodman, the only thing missing from the vehicle was a bag of books.  According to reports, there were cameras at the back of the building and the incident was turned over to an investigator.

Summerville Woman Arrested In Alabama

A Chattooga County woman was arrested late last week in Cherokee County, Alabama.  According to docket records from the Cherokee County Detention Center, Sandy Wilson of Summerville was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of public intoxication.  The arrest was made at 6:16 PM on Thursday of last week.  Wilson was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on the charges.
