Rome Man Charged With Child Molestation

A Rome man was arrested Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with three counts of aggravated child molestation, and one count of child molestation. Twenty-three-year-old Demarcus Isaiah Creamer was taken into custody at his Church Street residence on the warrants issued by the Rome Police Department. No other details concerning the arrest were available in the warrants Wednesday morning at the jail.

Gas Prices Continue To Soar

As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, crude prices soar, leading to higher pump prices in the U.S. with Georgia gas prices surpassing the 4-dollar a gallon mark. Gas prices are going well above $4 per gallon – up from an average of $3.88 per gallon earlier this week.  In Chattooga County, prices are averaging $4.18 per gallon as of Thursday afternoon.  Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced earlier this week he is calling for legislation that will temporarily suspend the state’s motor fuel tax, which will save you about 29-cents a gallon.
