An Alabama police officer charged with capital murder in the shooting of his pregnant girlfriend, who was from Trion, Georgia, has asked a judge to bar the public from seeing any written documents or attending hearings about the case.
Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced Wednesday that a warrant has been issued for Jarred Hosch, 38, of Ringgold, for one count of Insurance Fraud. Mr. Hosch is wanted in connection with a Whitfield County Case.
The Chattooga County School System is seeing a dramatic spike in COVID-19 cases among students and staff. Numbers from the school system show that since Monday of this week, there are 72 students and 21 adults in the school system who have tested positive.

The Georgia Department of Public Health’s (DPH) says that issues with electronic laboratory reporting (ELR) that were identified last week have been thoroughly investigated and the problem fixed. It is important to note that data for case counts, hospitalizations and deaths come from sources other than ELR, and as such were not impacted by the problem.
