Numerous law enforcement officers responded to the Centre McDonalds on Saturday night in response to a call of shots fired outside the restaurant.

The Chief Vann House Historic Site is offering free admission Sunday, Feb. 6, from 1-5 p.m.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Georgia State Patrol in a hit and run investigation… and they’d like any information the public can offer.

The Summerville City Council will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday evening at Summerville City Hall, and the council has a full agenda for this month’s meeting.

A Chattooga County woman was arrested this week in Rome after an altercation at a Floyd County area convenience store.
According to police reports, twenty-four-year-old Josie Laine Barker of Summerville was arrested at the Circle K Convenience Store on Calhoun Road after she acted in a “violent and tumultuous manner” towards store employees.
Police say that after the verbal altercation, Barker began “hitting items in the store.”
Barker is charged with disorderly conduct and two counts probation violation.
