Menlo Lion’s Club Making Brunswick Stew Next Weekend

Menlo Lions Club will be making Brunswick Stew on Saturday, February 3, 2023  and pickup will be Saturday morning between 7 AM and 10 AM.  Price is $8 a quart or $30 a gallon. Commission Sets Cannabis Rules

The commission in charge of the state’s medical marijuana program met on Wednesday of this week and adopted rules  for the manufacture and sale of low-THC cannabis oil for medicinal use.  The commission was created in 2019 by the Georgia General Assembly.

Damage Reported To Sloppy Floyd Lake Road Home

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Sloppy Floyd Lake Road in Summerville on Sunday.  The complainant said that she returned from a trip to Kentucky and found a window broken out in her home. The deputy observed that someone had removed a screen from a front-facing window of the residence and that the window had been broken at the top and the bottom.  The deputy advised the woman to keep her doors and windows locked and said a report would be on file at the sheriff’s office.
