NICB’s analysis shows significant risk to individual health and safety, straining already-stretched police resources. Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a Chattooga County fire was intentionally set. The fire occurred at approximately 7:21 a.m. on October 30th at Mount Vernon Mills in Trion. The fire caused several million dollars worth of damage to the 181-year-old, 1,000,000-square-foot plant.
