Deer season is in full swing in Northwest Georgia and Chattooga County hunters are being asked to share their bounty with those in need this hunting season.

There’s Hope for the Hungry is a Christian ministry, founded in prayer in 2003 and committed to evangelizing and feeding people who are in need. The group is active in Chattooga County and will be distributing food in Summerville.
Many employees of the Tennessee Valley Authority will get the biggest paychecks of their TVA career next week when the federal utility awards a record-high $180 million of performance pay to its nearly 10,000 workers.
Georgia gas prices remain unchanged this week. Motorists continue to pay an average price of $3.25 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. Monday’s state average was 15 cents more than last month and $1.28 more than this time last year.
