A Summerville woman was cited after she attempted to shoplift around $18 worth of items from Ingles on Thursday of last week. According to Summerville Police, Karen Louise Clarke of a Highway 48, Summerville address, was accused of trying to conceal the items and leave the store without paying. Clarke received the citation and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on the shoplifting charges, according to a report released by the Summerville Police Department.
