The Chattooga County Health Department will be hosting a COVID-19 immunization clinic on Labor Day next week.

Chattooga School Nutrition will continue to provide a hot meal to all CHS students while they are virtual due to the rise in COVID numbers at CHS. To receive this meal, please come to CHS between 11 AM and 1 PM, daily. This meal will be provided free of charge. CHS students do not have to be present to receive the meal; parents may pick-up for their student(s).
The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest Georgia Joint Development Authority will be hosting a job fair coming up later this month.
The Georgia dove hunting season opens this Saturday, September 4, 2021, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division (WRD).
“Vaccination remains our most effective tool against COVID-19.” Those were the words of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp earlier this week as the governor announced plans for an incentive for state employees to get the vaccine.
Earlier this week, Chattooga County added yet another COVID-19 related death to the total. In all, since the beginning of the pandemic, seventy-seven Chattooga County residents have passed away due to COVID-19.
