Trion Bulldogs Best Cherokee County, AL In Football Scrimmage

The Trion Bulldogs squared off against the Cherokee County AL Warriors Friday in a preseason scrimmage.

Trion was up 24-7 at halftime. The final unofficial score was 37-21 with both teams playing their younger players in the 2nd half.

Toby Maddux lead the way for Trion in the 1st half with two TD runs of 3 and 18 yards. Trion QB Logan Eller connected with Nathan Willingham on a 31 yard TD pass.

Trion will have next week off before opening the season 2 weeks from now at home against Coosa.

Three people were murdered in the Holland Community of Chattooga County in August of 2019.  This week, Steven James Mauldin of Trion pleaded guilty to multiple counts of malice murder, felony murder, armed robbery and more felonies in Chattooga County Superior Court.
