The Town of Trion says that they are asking people to “abstain from playing sports” on the track field in Trion during the next few weeks while the flags are on display honoring veterans. If you any questions you are asked to call the Trion Town Hall Office at 706-734-2332.
The Town of Trion will have a regular Workshop / Council Meeting in the Town Hall Conference Room, Thursday, May 27, 2021. The Workshop will begin at 6:00p.m. and the Regular Meeting will follow shortly after. A Chattooga County woman was arrested in Floyd County on Wednesday of this week after hitting government owned detour signs on Blacks Bluff Road.
Thirty-six-year-old Amy Cathleen Polk of Menlo was charged with felony interference with government property, duty upon striking fixture and driving on a closed road.
Polk was arrested at a residence on Foster Mills Road, according to Floyd County Police reports. She was being held on a $3,500 bond as of Thursday.
A Summerville man faces a couple of felony charges after being stopped by Floyd County police on Shorter Avenue.
Trion High School graduation exercises will be held this evening for seventy-nine graduating seniors. The graduation ceremony will be held at 8 PM at Sam R. McCain Stadium.
